No More Monday Morning Blues

5th March 2018 by Candace 8 Comments

Every week when you look on social media it will be full to the brim of posts saying the weekend is coming to a close and Monday has come around once again.  I’m making an effort to love what happens in my life and that includes the dreaded Monday feeling. I looking to create a life in which I don’t dread the start of a new week and instead embrace all it has to offer.  From now on I am embracing the good and not so good things that come in to my life. It’s something I wrote about here in January but life’s adventures took me on a different path for a couple of months. I’m now back fitting to embrace life.

Here are three reasons to love Monday’s:

It’s A Chance To Start Afresh

Think back to New Year when people go crazy for starting afresh; closing the door in the previous year and looking forward to the future. But why does this only have to happen at New Year? Why can’t we draw a line on what has happened n the past and start afresh on a Monday?  Monday’s marks the start of seven whole new days where we can start afresh on our hopes and dreams.

Monday Is A Day Of Productivity

Monday’s have been proven to be the most productive day of the week. We wake feeling ready to start new routines and build upon old ones. Monday is the best day to start a new habit and dive in to new or improved routines. Whatever your goals are; Work goals, looking after your health or searching for a new calming routine, Monday is the best day to do it.  What’s not to love about the day that has been proven to help to reach your goals more than any other.

You Feel Refreshed

Well that’s the hope. If you find you are waking not as refreshed as you’d like take a look at what self care activities you are doing over the weekend. If you find you aren’t taking care of yourself, try and put aside some time each Sunday to lol after you. Even if all you do is turn off the electronic gadgets 30 minutes before bed or ensure you drink 8 glasses of water to help you keep hydrated. Any little self care action you take will help.  By looking after yourself over the weekend you will feel refreshed on Monday and able to better tackle all that life has in store for you that week.

So why don’t we put the concept of new starts on happening at New Year and make every Monday a new start to work on looking after ourselves and chasing our dreams.

Do you love Mondays? Let me know why.

I must admit, the only reason I don’t look forward to Mondays is the early start, lol! But once I’m up, and have done the school run I’m ready to face the day and week ahead and love it! Some weeks that will include lots of self care (particularly if I’m having a fibro flare or it’s that time of a month), others it’s straight into the biz and getting my todo list together. 🙂

A lovely inspirational post and a nudge to always look on the bright side! Admittedly I do this as I have a morning routine where I wake up an hour earlier than everyone else, to do the things I love, exercise, meditate and read etc. Thank you so much for sharing 🙂
