Like the previous few years, I have been interested to see what blog posts of mine have been read the most. I am also really happy that 17 of my top 50 posts read in 2019 are afternoon tea posts. I’m hoping to get the opportunity to review more afternoon tea venues this year plus write up some of the afternoon tea venues I’ve visited last year and never found the time to blog about.
In 2019, my top five blog posts were:
My Scottish Adventure; Loch Ness, Glen Coe And The Highlands
This was a post that was originally posted in the summer of 2017 after my first visit to Scotland. it is a post that has always been very popular with North American’s as was in my top 10 posts last year. Visiting Loch Ness was a fun-packed and long day that if I am honest I did struggle a little with as I had recently been discharged from hospital a few weeks earlier but it was something that I really needed to do and benefited from both as physically and emotionally as the previous couple of months really had been hell.
Afternoon Tea Adventures; The Countess Of York Train Carriage, York
My visit to The Countess Of York Train Carriage for afternoon tea was a birthday surprise treat and was certainly an experience I would love to experience again. The opulence of the carriage decor was perfectly complemented by the amazing food!
Cocktail Afternoon Tea At Dunsley Hall, South Staffs
Dunsley Hall in South Staffordshire is only 10 minutes away from where I live and it is very close to Birmingham and the West Midlands. It is an independently owned restaurant and hotel and the afternoon tea was divine! I really would like to visit here again over the next couple of months for afternoon tea as I would class this venue as the best local afternoon tea I’ve tasted. This afternoon tea review was also in my top 5 posts for 2017 and 2018.
Afternoon Tea Adventures; Fortnum And Mason, London
Afternoon Tea at Fortnum And Mason was amazing! Along with The Savoy Betty’s, and The Ritz (2020 WILL be the year I go!), Fortnum and Mason’s has been on my afternoon tea wish list from the very beginning and it certainly did not disappoint.
9 Instagram-able Places In Bath
This post all about instagramable places in Bath was a new post for 2019. I absolutely loved spending a few days in the historic city for my birthday. Our time was filled with historic places, amazing local food and afternoon teas!
Now, these are my top 5 viewed posts in 2019 but what I would really like to know is which posts of mine did you enjoy? Do you enjoy the afternoon tea reviews, recipes or restaurant and hotel/city reviews? What type of posts would you like to see more of in 2020?
