The Best British City Breaks

21st June 2018 by Candace Leave a Comment

[AD] Booking a romantic city break with your partner is an excellent way to unwind from the stresses of modern life and enjoy your time together. You make all the final decisions when it comes to choosing the location and the activities you plan to enjoy. However, there are some tips in this article that you might like to think about when putting all the arrangements in place. While you don’t have to visit any of the cities mentioned in this post, other people tend to have a fantastic time, and there is plenty to keep you occupied, regardless of your interests or tastes. So, let’s get started!

Taking a break in London

London is one of the most popular choices for people who want to arrange a romantic break with their partners. That is because the capital city is home to some of the best hotels, restaurants, and attractions in the entire country. The musical Dreamgirls is a hit at the moment, and it is possible to get some excellent deals on tickets if you search online. There are plenty of other productions that run every day in the West End, and so you should be sure to check them out before you plan to travel. All the info you need about London is freely available online.

Arranging a Manchester getaway

Manchester is technically the UK’s third city, but you wouldn’t know that from visiting the place. Known as the home of British culture, Manchester is a vibrant melting pot of different ethnicities who all live together in harmony. If you love 90’s music, Manchester is the only place you need to visit this year. You can take a look at the site of the old Factory club that turned bands like the Happy Mondays into superstars. You could even stroll through Salford and see the house where Morrissey from the Smiths grew up. The possibilities are endless.

Booking some time in York

If you’re interested in History, and you want to learn more about one of the oldest cities in the UK, spending a few nights in York will not disappoint. Many people forget about that city, even though it is one of the most beautiful places in the British Isles. Be sure to arrive by train because you’ll get to see lots of the countryside. There are lots of quaint little villages you can check out during the commute, and you’re going to feel blown away by the stunning scenery. The city has everything you would expect from a metropolitan area in the UK.  Restaurants, bars, and music venues are never more than a short walk away.

While you don’t have to take the advice from this article and arrange your romantic break in London, Manchester, or York; you should now have a better idea about what those places have to offer. Of course, you should now head off and conduct some more research to ensure you cover all the bases. If the price is an issue, it’s probably wise to avoid London and select one of the other recommendations. Whatever happens, make sure you have a fantastic time with the person who matters to you most.
