In December I went down to London for the day to have afternoon tea at The Wellesley Hotel which was noted best themed tea in the 2017 Afternoon Tea Awards. The Wellesley Hotel is situated in Knightsbridge and overlooks Hyde Park.  It has a lovely classic and welcoming feel. One of the lovely things about the festive season is arrival of festive afternoon teas.  Last week I was lucky yo go to London and sample the amazing festive tea at Ruben’s At The Palace.  As the name suggests Ruben’s in by Buckingham Palace, in fact you look over the road to the Royal Mews whilst enjoying you tea.  The tea room had been decorated for the festive season and the tables were dressed with pristine white table cloths and red ribbons.  There was a lovely selection of teas available to suit all tastes and I enjoyed a glass of Kir… View Post

I think it’s safe to say I like afternoon tea and the best part for me is the buckets of tea that are there to be drunk.  My favourite tea is from Fortum and Mason.  For me they really do have the most delightful tea and I feel tea always needs to be loose leaf and always needs to be made in a pot.  We had arrived a little earlier than our afternoon tea was booked for and while we waited we had a look around the shop.  I really love the store and the aroma of all of the loose tea… View Post
