I was looking on twitter when a link came up about National Days in September.  I was quite surprised to read that today, 3rd September is National Welsh Rarebit day.  Who even knew such a day existed?  I can’t think of anything more comforting on an autumn day than being wrapped up warm, feet up and tucking in to a plate of Welsh Rarebit and this easy to make recipe really is perfection on a plate! To make this super tasty treat you will need: Ingredients 225g of grated strong white cheese such as Cheddar or Cheshire cheese. 1 tablespoon… View Post

I honesty think at some point all our lives we have wanted the perfect smile.  As a child I had too many teeth and at aged 13 I had 4 of my teeth removed quickly followed by a brace.  I hated that brace.  So many times I wanted to take it out and break it and if I’m honest I did actually deliberatly break a couple of times.  but each time I would return to the dentist and a little while later we’d go back and it had been repaired, all perfect for me to wear.  The only thing that… View Post

For me, having afternoon tea is more than just drinking cups of tea and eating some amazing food with friends.  Afternoon tea is also about the decadence of times gone by and what better way to experience afternoon tea than eating and drining from crockery made by the world famous Wedgwood.  If you want glam and pretty crockery afternoon tea at the World Of Wedgwood will not disappoint.  The teas are served daily in their Wedgwood Tea Room; an elegant room where you will be served a contemporary and indulgent interpretation of afternoon tee with unlimited Wedgwood tea or coffee… View Post

Last October I was lucky enough to be in London for a meeting near Kensington Gardens and decided to visit The Orangery at Kensington Palace for afternoon tea. It was a Chris but bright October day and I had a walk around the palace gardens first. The gardens are beautifully kept and even in October looked stunning with the perfect boarders and potted evergreens.  The Orangery overlooks the Sunken Garden which was planted in 1908 and is terraced with paving and ornamental flower beds. The vibrant colours and exotic planting provide a peaceful, yet stunning backdrop for the orangery’s classic afternoon… View Post

I don’t know about you but 90% of the time I live in jeans and a casual top.  Working from home means I don’t have to have a wardrobe of office wear and it’s so lovely to work with comfy clothes on after spending many years with smart office wear.  Having said that it doesn’t mean I want to always hang around in a plain t-shirt.  Trying to purchase plua sized tops on the high streeet can sometimes be a drag.  I’m quite tall as well as being plus size on my top half, thanmks to mother nature! and often… View Post
