At the end of last year I posted about 5 goals I have for my blog this year and also about some personal goals concerning things I would like to achieve this year. In order to keep on top of these I really feel the best way would be to break items down and have a firm plan to concentrate on certain aspects of these goals each month.  I think this will work best by setting myself some monthly goals to achieve. This month I would like to: 1 Improve Photography I would like to take a number of standard… View Post

Strange question. But one that I often think about. Things have happened in my past, some I can talk about as I’ve processed them but other things, the nightmare things I push to the back of my mind as I can’t talk about them. I don’t think I ever can and I just don’t see a way of ever being able to process them. I hate that other peoples actions have had a negative effect upon my life. I hate that someone decided to behave in a certain way and my life was affected as a result. My life came… View Post

After Christmas I was sent a lovely sweet bracelet from The Lifestyle Blogger UK.  I don’t have much jewellery but what I do have is simple and classic.  I’m not a huge fan of over sized jewellery especially earrings.  In fact I only ever wear a very plain pair of earrings and can’t actually remember when I changed them! The silver coloured metal bracelet is so comfortable to wear and surprisingly brought many compliments when I wore it on a night out.  The heart and leather tassels are really cute and I found it coordinated with a number of different… View Post

When you think back on all of the delicious meals you have enjoyed over the span of your life, it’s likely that your run-of-the-mill mid-week lunch is not one of those list toppers. Often, our lunches that we carry with us to our offices are quickly thrown together the night before, and usually consist of easy-made recipes of leftover meat sandwiches and what we may constitute as “salad”. Boring, to say the least! Thankfully, technology has been advancing to aid us in every aspect of life, including our outlook on an office luncheon. Gone are the days of the business… View Post

Last week my dad took me out for Afternoon tea as a belated Christmas present.  I think its fair to say that I do like afternoon tea.  I have been luck to have been out for afternoon tea a number of times and every experience has been enjoyable but the top layer of treats have been varied and so delicious.  Its really hard to pick my favourite spread.  We had afternoon tea at Dunsley Hall hotel which is near Kinver in South Staffordshire. The old manor house which has been converted in to a hotel is stunning both inside and out… View Post

One simple thing I love to brighten my day is a bunch of fresh flowers. One thing I find is that they don’t often last long.  Flowers in my opinion should last about a week as to be honest its not much to ask especially when some bouquets can be a little on the pricey side to last less than 7 days.  These are some tips I have discovered on how to make flowers last longer. 1 Cut Steams At An Angle One simple tip is to change the water your flowers are in every couple of days and at… View Post

One of my goals this year for my blog is to post more consistently.  In order to do that I need to get myself a little more organised with my posting schedule.  My first step this weekend was to brain storm for some blog post ideas.  I think if I have a list of post ideas to hand it will be much easier to post more frequently.  The key being to plan, plan, plan! As much as I find some technology useful in life, deep down I’m an old fashioned pen and paper girl and I much prefer to use… View Post
