Five Space Saving Home Improvement Tips

[AD] We all want to have more space than we currently have. In case you are currently planning your home improvement project, you might be able to create more storage and light in your home without having to get the builders in. The below space saving home improvement tips will help you get more out of your life, stay organized, and make your house look bigger, lighter, and more modern.

Multifunctional Furniture

Thanks to clever designers, now you can get furniture that is functional and has hidden storage. From storage seats in the kitchen where you can keep your towels and placemats to tables with drawers, and even seat pouffes that hold all your spare blankets and cushions in the living room to storage ottoman beds, there are plenty of space saving furniture available for you to choose.

Opening Up Space

You can get rid of the walls that are not serving any purpose to get more space. While you will lose some wall space, you can get larger furniture, a space dividing storage, shelf, or even a row of live bamboo that will keep your room tidy and modern. You can open your kitchen to the outdoors by adding a porch or conservatory, even extending the cabinets into the new space.

Folding Doors

Instead of large, solid, oak doors, you can use folding safety glass patio doors and single doors as well indoors. Get rid of that old wooden frame and opt for a frameless design to get better connected and save space. Not many people know that bifold doors can in fact open inward so you can save space in the conservatory when designing the stunning dining room that you will be proud of for many years to come.

Recessed Storage

If you have internal walls that are too thick for your liking, for example between the wet room and the kitchen, you can create the perfect recessed storage. Alternatively, if your home has an old chimney stack, you can use the space next to it to place a made-to-measure shelving unit in the recess and display all your valuable collections for your guests to admire.

Under Stairs Space Utilisation

If you would like to add modern touches to your home, you might like the idea of creating a built-in colorful under stairs storage or cabinet that will hold all your shoes, coats, and umbrellas in a more organised fashion than a simple cupboard would. It is a great idea to add drawers, so you can keep your household items, your iron, ironing board, cleaning items safe and make it easier to find them,

Whether you are looking to create space or add a modern touch while opening up space in your home, you can take advantage of the above space saving ideas. Use your imagination to make the most out of your space, light, and storage furniture. You can have a modern and spacious home if you plan for maximum utilisation and functionality.
