Last week I was invited the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre to see the new renovations that have been undertaken. The interiors have been beautifully renovated in a Great Gatsby feel and are truly stunning; dark greys, white and mustard tones truly bring the theatre to life.
Upstairs there is the newly renovated Arthur’s bar which is sponsored by Arthur Price Cutlery a 5 generation local family business. The bar also has a number of private drinks booths which can be used by parties during theatre performances for at the table service during the intervals. They are beautifully lit and give that added glam to a night out at the theatre.
When we attended Arthur Price had laid out a table with their fabulous cutlery and we talked table settings and even had the chance to lay a place setting with their gorgeous cutlery.
Designer Grant Bushall who has designed the new interiors was on hand to talk on trend Christmas decorations. They looked spectacular and I hope to bring some of these decorations in to our home this Christmas. The napkin Christmas trees are simple yet effective.
On trend this year are large glass bowls filled with baubles and wrapped in festive bows.
Even cocktail glasses make effective decorations.
Arthur’s At The Grand is the most stunning cocktail bar and whilst taking a look around we were shown how to make a couple of simple yet tasty cocktails.
First up was an alcoholic cocktail containing coconut and Malibu and was a stunning blue colour.
Next up was a non alcohol cranberry and apple juice cocktail which had a drizzle of honey. I was quite surprised as you couldn’t taste the honey yet it took the dryness of the cranberry away. This will certainly be served in our house of Christmas.
Two simple cocktails which could easily be made at home to wow your guests over the festive period.
Upcoming productions at the Wolverhampton Grand include Dirty Dancing (28 November to 3 December) and Aladdin (10 December to 22 January). Tickets can be purchased here.
