Things I’m Loving (August 2016)

I’m a little late this month talking about the things I loved last month but life just took over. It was a strange month with ups and downs. Fun times out to hospital stays and all the emotions that come with that.

Meals Out

Early this month I went for a meal at Rub Smokehouse. Oh my, it was delicious!  I’m loving being back in Birmingham and all the fantastic places to eat that I now find on my doorstep. There really are some great places here in Birmingham and the West Midlands. I hoping to get some reviews up of places we’ve visited over on my foodie blog this month.

Hospital Stays

I know, I know. A very strange one to add to a list of things you love. I don’t actually love hospital stays but this stay I loved that I was forced to rest. Life had been hectic the last few months and it has taken its toll on my health. Having a number of chronic illnesses the smallest thing can trigger numerous problems. But although there were health issues that the hospital needed to sort but I needed a rest. I needed downtime to heal get the chronic illnesses back on track. Eight days in hospital gave me time to catch up on sleep and take time out.

Date Night

Yes, you did read that right. Date night. Early days so let’s move on quickly.

Bank holiday weekend I fancied something a little different to eat. Although I like cooking and baking I find with life that I don’t always get the opportunity to take time to cook meals that take longer to prepare. As it was a bank holiday I really had my heart set on paella. Beyond gorgeous!

Bathroom Renovations

I’m so happy to say that after what seems like an absolute age the bathroom is finished. I’m just loving it!

What are you loving this month?

I love date nights! My boyfriend and I are always so busy that sometimes we forget to just take time and do something nice together, forgetting about work and all of life’s dramas.
