Things I Love (March 2016)

I can honestly say March has flown by and I have been lucky to have a few things in my life that I love.  It was full of ups and full of downs.  These are the five things I’ve loved this month. I’ve loved:

Pretty New Stationery

This month I’m putting this lovely new blog planner to good use. To put it to really good use I could do with another 6 hours a day. I’m sure you know what I mean.

I wouldn’t use this time to do things, to work but instead to rest. I’m shattered right now. Chronic illnesses are taking their toll. I’m totally exhausted yet unable to sleep due to extreme pain. I just can’t get comfortable. I’m painting a smile on and I can honestly say I’ve never used so much foundation and concealer in my life. I’m literally putting it on with a trowel in order to look human. I’m so tired. People I’ve known for years say they have never seen me look so exhausted but no matter how hard I try I just can’t sleep. It’s really becoming past a joke now.

New Crockery

Pretty pretty crockery. I’ve been building up crockery and photo props for this blog and also my foodie blog for a while now. I just love these pretty sets both from Wilko’s and both brilliantly priced.

Days Out In The Spring Sun

I love when spring appears. When the clicks change and the sun starts to actually shine and bring warmth. This month we had s lovely trip to Cambridge as a birthday treat.

Birthday Treats

Cath Kidston factory shop

Think it’s safe to say I am a big Cath Kidston fan. Just love all the bags and kitchen goodies. For my birthday we took a trip to Cambridgeshire to the Cath Kidston Factory Shop. It was heaven!

Goodies and bargains everywhere!  I had a few treats for my birthday. After lunch we went in to Cambridge for a lovely walk and a visit to the Cath Kidston shop where I picked up a couple of things. I just love this Highgate Rose collection. I have the whole range on my wish list.

Every last little item I would love to own!

Cola cupcakes with Salted Peanut Frosting

Who can say no to cake?  Not me that’s for sure. This month I’ve had fun trying out new cupcake recipes.  This cola cupcake with salted peanut frosting is lovely.

I’m loving your new crockery too! Great stuff! For me, March has brought finer weather which means more time outside exploring and training on my mountain bike for my fundraising RNLI cycle in June. 250 miles through the highlands of Scotland – can’t wait!

Those cupcakes look so good, and what an unusual flavour combination. I love your notebook – is it a proper blog planner or are you just using it for that?
I hope you start to feel better soon, lack of sleep can really take its toll.
