Exercises To Keep You Active

24th January 2020 by Candace Leave a Comment

[AD] As January starts to fold away, there may be some of us who are continuing to stick to the gym and healthy eating regime. For others, it may simply have been that New Year’s Resolution that got away. It’s important we keep our minds and bodies stimulated and active, because to be frank, they need it. I’ve put together a list of the best ways we can continue to be active throughout the rest of 2020.

Keep Your Mind Active

Before I go into the physical exercises, it’s really important you continue to keep your brain ticking over nicely. There are some great ways you can do that, and testing games are a great way of going about it.

Check out the superb Fenetic Wellbeing Typing Game. You’re given 60 seconds to type out as many words as you can from one of ten categories. This is one of the best ways of keeping your mind stimulated as you have to think fast and ensure you brain communicates properly with your hands to type out the necessary words in the correct time.

Tackle The Great Outdoors

There’s nothing better than a blast of fresh air and the only place you’re going to get this is in the great outdoors. Going for a short walk keeps you active and gives your body the vital exercise it needs. Walking is a great way of not exerting too much energy but getting out and not keeping yourself locked away. Don’t let the inclement weather put you off. Check the forecast in advance and pick the best day with the best weather.

Take Up A New Hobby

With the New Year still reasonably new, there’s still loads of time to take up a brand new hobby. It doesn’t matter what it is, from Sunday League Football to learning an instrument, sewing or something like running. Hobbies can be whatever you want them to be and again. They more often than not get you out of the house.

Pull The Running Shoes On

Last but not least, running is one of the best ways of keeping active and getting fit. It doesn’t have to be every night but even if it’s just two or three times a week, it will do you the world of good and get you physically fit.

Ensuring you’re mentally and physically well is so important and these are some of my tops tips to making sure your 2020 is a good one for your body. As they say, your body is a temple! If you have any other tips or tricks feel free to comment below, I’d love to hear from you!
