I hoping that by looking at this blog you have an understanding of my tea drinking habits. I like a strong breakfast tea, I’m not one for Earl Grey or green teas just a typically British builders tea.
I’ll admit I drink way too much tea. Being a large tea drinker I have a little obsession with afternoon tea. When I turned 40, three years ago. We went out for afternoon tea. I loved it! There is something about sitting down to a nice cup of tea with cakes and dainty sandwiches. There is also something about pretty about having afternoon tea in a pretty 1950s tea dress. I feel so dressed for the occasion.
My favourite dress is their Hepburn dress. I have never been what you would call flat chested but at the same time I have no desire for low cut dresses. I prefer people to talk to my face lol. I love how the dress is fitted, I love the quirky and how it takes me back to a time when ladies dresses to flattering clothes. Clothes that boost their confidence.
I think when I had my children my style changed from smart work wear to comfy jeans, t shirts and jumpers. Very casual compared to how I dressed before the children came along. I was never a yummy mummy but felt under dressed to how has previously dressed.
I’ve always like to dress in something a little different to that of the people of around me but not way out wacky. Something a little quirky. I thing these tea dress are just what I wanted.
Currently have my eye on a couple of new fabrics and will be booking afternoon tea soon to wear my new tea dress.
