No-Makeup Makeup Ideas

[AD] Mastering the art of the no-makeup makeup look is something many of us have tried to do over the years for those everyday situations where we want to have a clear complexion without the rest of the fuss. To achieve this look, you need to go down to the bare minimum and today we want to show you how to achieve this flawlessly.

Whether you are preparing for a dinner date, a small break, or a day in the office : these tips will allow you to show your natural beauty this year.

Keep It Light

When applying foundation and concealer for a no-makeup look, you should try and keep things to a minimum and not over apply them. For example, instead of applying a foundation which is full coverage – you could instead opt for one that is low coverage or even a CC cream. By only covering your skin a little bit it will allow things such as freckles or small marks to show through – which might not seem ideal but will look more like the real you. Showing these small things while also balancing your complexion is a key component to this look.

Take Care Of Your Skin

It is important if you want to rock the no-makeup look that you look after your skin every day. There is an array of different make-up for sensitive skin and to fit your specific skin type and you should explore using these things each day to keep the skin clear and happy. Once you have a smooth base to work with, any makeup you apply on top will look ten times better.

Use Bronzer As Eyeshadow

One way to keep your makeup looking as natural as possible is to ditch the eyeshadow palette and instead use a bronzer and highlight for your face. The reason this is a better option is because bronzer, contour, and highlight shades are formulated specifically to fit most facial tones and this means that their hues will look more like natural shadows on your face.

Apply A Brown Mascara

One of the surefire signs that you are wearing a full face of makeup is your black mascara. Mascara is an essential feature to any makeup look however when it is jet black it doesn’t fit the no-makeup vibe. Choose a dark brown mascara that will look much more natural and still give you that lift and volume that you are looking for. This is even a great option in the summer when you are going for a more sun kissed makeup look.

Keep Lips Rosy

It is important when completing a face of makeup not to forget about the lips. Before you even start applying makeup, apply a lip balm to moisturise the lips and get them ready for covering. You’ll want to stick to a simple rosy lip colour to keep things natural – and only apply a sheer lipstick so that it doesn’t add too much hue. You can even opt for a lip stain or a coloured lip balm.
