Snuggling Under Blankets

Today as part of my attempt to complete Blogmas; a post a day from 1 December until Christmas I thought I’d talk about how I love nothing better this time of year than snuggling under a blanket, preferably one I have crocheted myself.

As we plunge towards the depths of winter and the we try to think of doing nothing but hibernate I like to surround myself with cosy blankets.  For many years now I have crocheted and my favourite item to complete is blankets.  There is just something about sitting down and covering myself in a blanket that I am crocheting.  I’ve started many blankets over the years.

I’ve just realised the 3 above pictures I’ve chosen for this post are all ripple patterns.  I can crochet other patterns too!  Like hexagons:

And squares:

But one thing I do struggle with is finishing a blanket.  Big sigh.  But for now I’ll just sit and snuggle under my work in progress blankets and one day I’ll probably get lost under them all if I finally finish any of them!

Are you like me?  Start lots of projects but get distracted along the way and struggle to finish a project before starting another?
