Pancakes! I just love them. I love sweet ones with lemon and sugar and also savoury ones with chicken and leek in a white sauce being a huge favourite. Pancakes really are easy to make from scratch and are much cheaper than using a ready made batter. To make crepe pancakes you will need: 100g plain flour 2 large eggs 300ml milk Pinch of salt Oil for cooking Lemon and sugar to serve To make the pancakes: Beat the eggs together and mix in the milk Let the batter chill in the fridge for at least an hour Add the… View Post

I have been for afternoon tea at Malmaison before and found it to be a really nice selection of dishes.  The festive menu includes a glass of prosecco. and unlimited tea or coffee. The tea was served on a modern metal and slate stand which is ideal as a Malmaison Afternoon Tea has quite a modern feel to it with sliders and brioche buns instead of sandwiches. For the festive tea Malmaison have stayed with their nontraditional savoury selection which includes: Turkey, cranberry and stuffing wrap Mal slider pig in blanket brioche roll The fruit scone is served with jam and… View Post

Loose Leaf Tea From Fortnum And Mason What is there not to love about Fortnum and Mason is to loose leaf tea?  I’m a huge fan of loose leaf tea especially since I found out that plastic is used to make teabags.  Personally I really don’t like the sound of that and you often find that loose leaf tea is of a better quality as it is not tiny pieces like you’re finding teabags. For me Fortnum & Mason make the best tea ever and I specially love their Irish breakfast blend. Cath Kidson Mickey Mouse Teapot If you are regular… View Post
