Things I’m Loving (June 2016)

It’s hard to believe that another month is over and we are already half way through the year.  I really think this past month has flown by and I think that may be down to being so busy.  I have a lot of work on with my business Lou Lou and Jim Jams Toys at the moment promoting our new shop in Quarry bank in The Midlands.  I’ve also had fun being part of a local bloggers community which is something I’ve not had the pleasure of being part of before now.

Being A Food Blogger

I have been lucky to be out and about this month with some lovely Birmingham Bloggers.  There is such a lovely community of friendly and helpful bloggers.  Its something I feel I didn’t have when we lived in Wales.  There just seemed to be nobody else blogging near where we lied plus we were so in the middle of nowhere that we didn’t really get invited to any events.  the odd few I did get invites to were just too far away from us.  This month I have had the pleasure of going to a couple of foodie blogger events plus we have been trying out some local independent restaurants.

Country Walks

We’ve had a couple of nice days these month which have been intermixed with some very wet days.  Dry days are always great to take advantage of going out to the local countryside and taking a few short walks.  Days out this these are favourite past times.

Weekends Away

I was lucky enough to escape to North wales for an overnight stay in the beautiful town of Conwy.  This is the stunning view from our hotel window.  We were so lucky with the weather this weekend; it was stunning!

Chester Zoo

At the beginning of the month, on a gorgeous stunning day we had a day trip to Chester Zoo.  Chester Zoo is a fantastic day out for all ages.  The zoo is so accessible for those that don’t drive.  Zoo visitors can use the regular bus from the town train station which is brilliantly priced.

Seafood Dinners

I am such a fan of seafood.  I really miss living by the sea as local seafood just does not see to taste the same!  Some gorgeous fresh dressed crab was brought home from the little trip to the welsh seaside.

What things are you loving this month?  Have you been able to have some fun adventures?

We love Chester Zoo too. That crab does look amazing – it’s making me feel hungry.

We’re loving countryside walks as well! It’s so nice that we’ve finally got dry weather in the South!
