March’s afternoon tea was taken at La Tour hotel in Birmingham.  The hotel is a modern beautifully decorated 4 star hotel in Birmingham City Centre.  I have been lucky enough to have had afternoon tea here before and loved it that much I decided to make a return visit. The hotel opened in 2012 as part of Birmingham’s regeneration plans and has a modern elegant feel to it.  Marco Pierre White also has his first ever English Chophouse contained within the hotel which specialises in high quality meat cuts which are prepared with precision by trained staff. Last week I was in Bromsgrove and went to the Bromsgrove Hotel and Spa on the Sunday afternoon to sample their afternoon tea.  The hotel was extremely quite and only one other family were having lunch when we arrived.  Upon entering the hotel there was a gorgeous fire right in the centre and if I am being honest it would have been lovely to have our afternoon tea sat beside the fire instead we were seated in the bar area at the rear of this entrance lounge. Last week my dad took me out for Afternoon tea as a belated Christmas present.  I think its fair to say that I do like afternoon tea.  I have been luck to have been out for afternoon tea a number of times and every experience has been enjoyable but the top layer of treats have been varied and so delicious.  Its really hard to pick my favourite spread.  We had afternoon tea at Dunsley Hall hotel which is near Kinver in South Staffordshire. The old manor house which has been converted in to a hotel is stunning both inside and out… View Post

After touring the decorated house we went to the old stable block which has now been converted in to a cafe and gift shop.  Our table… View Post

Upstairs there is the newly renovated Arthur’s bar which is sponsored by Arthur Price Cutlery a 5 generation local family business.  The bar also has a number of private drinks booths which can be used by parties during theatre performances for at the table service during the intervals.  They are beautifully lit and give that… View Post
