Christmas Markets

For quite a few years now in Birmingham they have had a German Christmas market. Over the years the market has expanded and now occupies a large part of the city and this year also included a big wheel and ice rink.

This year I jumped in the car one evening with friends and headed in to Birmingham.

This year there are a lot of food stalls and also the big wheel and ice rink the top of Broad Street.

We parked near here at Brindley Place and decided to take full advantage of the food stalls.

Everything smelt delicious!

We decided to share some reindeer burgers which were amazingly tasty.

There were also ostrich burgers and plenty of large hot dogs on offer.

The big wheel looked stunning all lit up in the night sky.

The wooden hut stalls looked all festive lit up.

Although we didn’t stay long it was a great fun night.
Do you have a local Christmas market?  Do you like to be adventurous with food you try?
